The LLs, GGs and the middle schoolers widened their horizons and learned a new language by interacting with the hearing impaired. Mr. Manoj from the Deaf Enabled Foundation was hearing impaired Students learnt how to greet and introduce themselves in Indian sign language. Thanks to Manoj’s emoting and expressive nature, this was easy to understand.
The letter of the alphabet was also shown as the kids tried their signs. Some learners even spelt their names to the others. In this interactive and enriching experience, the learners also learn how to say the days of the week and colours, which they picked up quickly. They used their skills of communication and empathy in this session.
