The IB1 students of Spanish ab Initio may have been learning the language for only 10 weeks, but they already can manage to introduce themselves and their family in these recordings. This project helps them develop skills that they will need to complete a part of their Internal Assessment (IA) next year: describing photos, people and relationships, delivering a prepared speech, etc.
In the recordings, Spanish students introduce their family and friends, and they give a complete description of each person and their personality: name, age, profession, relation to the learner, languages they speak, the way they look and some character traits of each of their family members, friends and even pets. All in Spanish, claro! These recordings are only a sample of what the whole class can do. Zoha and Deepti both included their own family and friends speaking Spanish and we love that ¡gracias! y ¡buen trabajo, chicas! We hope you enjoy their work.
In Spanish: Los estudiantes de IB1 de Español Ab Initio sólo llevan aprendiendo español 10 semanas, pero ya pueden presentarse a ellos mismos y a su familia. Este proyecto les ayuda a desarrollar habilidades que necesitarán para completar una parte de su Evaluación Interna (IA) el año próximo: Describir fotos, gente y relaciones personales, presentar un discurso preparado, etc.En los vídeos, los estudiantes de español nos presentan a su familia y a sus amigos, dando una descripción completa de cada persona y su personalidad: Nombre, edad, profesión, relación con el estudiante, los idiomas que hablan, la descripción física y de la personalidad de cada miembro de su familia, amigos e incluso mascotas. ¡Todo en español, claro! Estos vídeos son sólo un ejemplo de lo que todos en la clase pueden hacer. Zoha y Deepti incluyen en el vídeo a su familia y amigos hablando en español, y eso nos encanta ¡Gracias, familia! y ¡Buen trabajo, chicas! Esperamos que disfruten de sus vídeos.
