Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Botany (Biotechnology) | Master of Science in Bioinformatics | Master of Philosophy in Biotechnology
Professional: Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers
I started my career as a researcher in the field of Bioinformatics after completing my post-graduation and MPhil in Biotechnology. During that time, I was involved in teaching and mentoring graduate and post-graduate students, guiding them through their research projects. After 5 years in higher education, I became interested in educating younger minds; their immense creative potential both fascinated and inspired me, so in order to learn more, myself, about different learning styles and techniques, I came to KC High. I believe in continuous professional development to update and sharpen my skills, and KC High facilitates and encourages this process with the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers, along with many other professional training and workshops. I consider myself a committed educator with innate ability to understand and motivate children.
I have helped to encourage a ‘passion for science’ among students at KC High by creating a dynamic style of lesson plans and activities. I thoroughly enjoy my work here in KC as a middle and high school Biology teacher.
