The interesting session started with the learners watching the video “The Hero’s Journey according to Joseph Campbell – video by Matthew Winkler and Kirill Yeretsky” which helped them realize that life experience can be given a fictional twist to add value to the story. Ms. Rodrigues highlighted the importance of the protagonist going through a self-discovery quest which helps the reader escape from real life. She quoted Lloyd Alexander Quote: “Keep reading. It’s one of the most marvelous adventures that anyone can have.” and stressed that reading influences the thoughts which helps write better. She interacted with the learners to understand the books that they read and movies they watch and helped them identify the elements of an adventure stories.
